Baptism

Here at Morning Star we believe that baptism by immersion is the first step of obedience for the believer.

It is symbolic of the substitutionary death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and symbolizes the believer’s death to self, burial of the old nature and resurrection to new life. (Matthew 28:19-20; John 3:22-23).

Why Get Baptized?

Because you want to follow Christ’s example (Mark 1:9), and Jesus told all believers to do it and set an example by being baptized by John the Baptist himself (Matthew 28:19-20).

Baptism is an opportunity to identify ourselves with the Savior and show the world that you are a follower of Christ! 1 John 2:3, Acts 18:8

When Should I Be Baptized?

As soon as you have believed! You shouldn’t put it off!
Acts 2:41, Acts 8:35-38

If you are not a believer and want to know how to “be saved” or in the bible it’s also called being born again.  Reach out to any of our Team Members.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)

What is the Meaning of Baptism?

Do You Baptize Children?

Here at Morning Star we do not baptize children until they are old enough to understand and believe. Baptism follows a personal decision to follow Christ and trust Jesus for their salvation.
